About Our Family: We are the Giesbrechts - a family of four who love to spend time outside, trying our hand at hobby farming, and pursuing a quality lifestyle that is intentional.

We live in the backwoods of Fort Vermilion and have always had an appreciation for trees, hence the name Backwoods Builder.

We were fortunate to find a beautiful 10 acre piece of land on which we built our little one bedroom log house, and later our barn where we currently make our products. Our acreage was almost entirely built by ourselves, and we love having a secluded home where our kids can grow and explore.

About Our Products: In between David flying airplanes, this business is a great project for us to work on together as a family! David does the designing and building, while Rheanna handles social media and packaging.

We are careful to ensure that all designs are unique and our own. When we have an idea, David takes it to the drawing board and then starts the multi-step process of transforming rough wood boards into beautiful masterpieces.

From the initial design to the woodworking, and from the final oil to the packaging; our products are handcrafted with care at every step of the process. We are passionate about creating quality, beautiful, useful products you will use and love!
